Some of my new offerings on TDIPT Mercantile this month.

~Blessings~
When we count our many blessings; it isn't hard to see
that life's most valued treasures are the treasures that are free.
For it isn't what we own or buy That signifies our wealth.
It's the special gifts that have no price; our family, friends and health.

There's snow in my neck of the woods.

Well the girls in the TDIPT sellers group can tell you, I have been asking for snow. Its been several years since we have had what I call a pretty snow. Last year we got horrific ice storm. Before this winter ended I wanted a nice snow. Maybe part of it is because I got this super nice Olympus digital SLR I have been dying to get out and take some snow shots with. I have to admit as bad as I wanted snow the weather folks were saying it could snow throughout part of Saturday so at the rate it was coming down yesterday I was thinking Holy Cow, we could get 2 or 3 feet! Then I started thinking maybe I should have never wished for this white stuff.
It looks like its ended for the most part & we got around a foot. So as soon as the roads are clear enough I got a photo shoot planned. Here are a few snap shots of the dogs this morning. Miss Goldie was having the hardest time as her old legs have about had it. Sometimes she would just set down in it, she really loves it and likes to take her head and plow into it.

Hee hee, look at Lucy plowing though the snow, she is a hoot.

Here are the little rascals playing in it, its very hard to snap the pictures fast enough to catch them.

Lazy Goldie Days

I don't have much to blog about as of lately. The Holidays have made me very lazy & I'm finding it hard to get into doing anything other than watching movies and reading...um, ok and EATING. I hope to get to work on some new things soon though. Meanwhile.....
Biscuit & Lucy are outside playing, chasing and pretending to be big guard dogs, old Goldie girl sleeps most of her days away. She is really slowing down but once in awhile she shows she still has a bit of spunk in her.
I loves my old Golidie gal...Have I mentioned she hates cameras ? :)

PINEAPPLE CASSEROLE

I ran across this recipe a few years ago (I think) on the Primitive & Rustic gals forum. I'm sorry I can not remember who posted it. At that time I didn't think it would be a dish I would like but I emailed it to my sister who just made it for the first time this year for Christmas dinner. I loved it so much I made it a few days ago. I'm not a big fan of pineapple but with the other ingredients it's just the perfect combination of YUMMY!

PINEAPPLE CASSEROLE
*****
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple tidbits, drained and reserved
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. pineapple juice
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/3 c. butter1
1/2 c. Ritz crackers, crushed
Mix first 5 ingredients, pour into 1 quart casserole. Crush crackers and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Good for brunch.
