FOR DOG LOVERS

I got this email from a friend and wanted to share it with all my dog loving blogging friends.♥
"Dogs Welcome" A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation. He wrote: I would very much like to bring my dog with me. He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?"
An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote: SIR: "I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill. Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel. And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

Charity Auction

Im doing another charity auction for Humane Society of Marion County on eBay. 100% of the proceeds go to this shelter. Please check it out and forward this link to as many people whom you think would be interested in helping. This is a volunteer non-profit, no kill shelter. As for now volunteers are still housing all the pets in their homes. As with all shelters FINANCIAL HELP IS DESPERATELY NEEDED. You can check them out ~here~ and my charity auction ~here~.

National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week

It's National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. November 2-8, 2008 In 1996, The HSUS launched National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week (based on an idea from the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, Nebraska). This campaign was designed to acknowledge and promote the invaluable role shelters play in their communities and to increase public awareness of animal welfare issues and shelter services. During National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, the first full week of every November, The HSUS promotes and celebrates animal shelters across the country through media and public outreach. Click ~HERE~ to find materials to help you celebrate National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week in your community. The materials also can be customized to promote the important role of shelters any time of the year. You can also check out~ Shelters Rock ~ to Pledge to Support Your Local Shelter.
