The Old Water Wheel on my girls day out.

I went for a girls day out today to Old Hardy town near by. This little town is settled at the foothills of the Ozarks and sets along the beautiful spring river. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. If you are ever traveling North East Arky this is a fun little area. Lots of good fishing and canoeing along the beautiful spring river. Lots of nice Antique shops and specialty shops too. Between Hardy and home is a old Water Wheel. I used to get so excited about stopping there and taking walks, watching the fish and feeding the ducks. Once such a pretty place to stop and admire the little creek and take nature walks over the bridges into the woods. Over time the property has been sold and it has been leased out of all things a flea market ! I like a good flea market but not is such a pretty area. I found out today there are some new owners so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they will restore it. Here are a few shots I took of one of the bridges & Old Wagon wheel.

Pam, I love your pictures, isn't that an old mill that was used to grind corn?
It would be so nice if the new owners would fix it up. It would be a beautiful place for a Harvest Festival/Antique Show, wouldn't it?
I enjoyed my visit and will be back.

Hope you had a great girls day out...beautiful area. Too bad it has been sold so many times and that is has not been restored. Maybe the new owners will restore it now.

It is a place that looks like it should be in a story book.

Thanks for sharing Pam.

Blessings,
~Tonya
